The Poole & Bournemouth Fantasy Shares Club is a laid-back, friendly group for anyone with an interest in the stock market — whether you’re a seasoned investor or just curious to learn more. We meet once a month to chat about shares, market trends and ideas, without the jargon or pressure you often get elsewhere.
To keep things interesting, members take part in forecasting the FT 100 and virtual share portfolio competitions, where you can test your skills, compare performance and compete for small cash prizes — all without risking real money. It’s all about learning, friendly rivalry and having a bit of fun along the way.
The Shares Club isn’t just for casual observers — we already have established members who actively trade and manage their own portfolios. These are serious players who understand the markets, follow trends closely, and make informed decisions backed by research and experience. Many of our members are consistent performers, with competition wins and strong portfolio results to their names.
We’re very much a social club too. As well as our regular meetings, we organise informal get-togethers in the summer and a Christmas social, giving members a chance to relax, have a drink and enjoy good company with like-minded people.
